Your âbook a demoâ page is the highest-intent page on your website. The only people who get there already want to talk to you.
So itâs the worst place to lose a visitor, and most companies lose them all the time with bad copy and bad structure.
Which is why fixing it is the cheapest growth work youâll ever do. â With the same traffic and same budget â youâll get way more booked calls.
Hereâs what Iâd do to get 3x more booked calls (7 steps):
1. đď¸ Cut the form down to one field
As a rule of thumb, every field with an asterisk (must fill in) costs you completions. So before you add one, ask a blunt question: do you actually need this, or can you find it yourself?
The best demo pages ask for one thing only: work email.
Think about it - why would you need anything else? Once you get the work email, you can find them on LinkedIn, enrich the contact with Clearbit or Apollo, and youâre done.
Iâm also against open text fields (like âtell us about your requirementsâ). I get why sales loves it, but youâre asking a stranger to write you an essay before youâve shown them anything. They wonât. Theyâll close the tab. If you really need context, make it a dropdown and save the real questions for the call. Amie still runs the open box, and I promise you itâs costing them:
2. đŁď¸ âSubmitâ is a terrible button
People donât âsubmitâ or ârequestâ things in real life, so donât make your button say it. Roughly how I rank them:
â
See [Company] (e.g. âSee Ripplingâ)
â
See it in action
â
Get a demo
â
Choose a time
â Request a demo
â Submit
â Submit form
If it sounds like a form â fix it.
Make the button sound like the outcome a human may want.
3. â Show how many people already trust you
Drop your star rating from G2 or Trustpilot right next to the form, and lead with the number of reviews. Thatâs the part doing the real work. â4.8 from 5,809 reviewsâ (like Deel) is far more convincing than â4.8â on its own, because the volume proves thousands of real people already trust you. The bigger that number, the better. One rule: donât make the badge a link, or youâll send the person you fought so hard to get straight off to G2.
4. đŽ Tell them exactly what happens next
Half the time people churn for a dumb reason: they have no idea what theyâre agreeing to. A walkthrough or a hard pitch? Wait 2 days or 2 hours? So tell them. Vee lays it out next to the demo form, I love it!
The next tricks are the ones you wonât find anywhere else online, including the experiment that grew our demo requests by 30%. More than once â
