Hey, I’m Tom 👋 I live and breathe marketing so you don’t have to. Every Monday, I share the best growth tactics and viral opportunities I spotted this week.

Moltbook made 200,000 people tweet about them. For free.
You’ve seen a million Moltbook posts this weekend. I’ll skip the hype.
The marketing behind them is what's interesting: they got 200,000 people to tweet about them in 48 hours without spending a dollar.
This is how:
That’s a smart viral mechanism:
To verify your account, you HAVE to post a tweet tagging @moltbook. You can’t skip it.
So what happens when thousands of people sign up their agents at the same time? 👀
All of X flooded with “I’m claiming my AI agent on @moltbook” - and their account hit 210k followers overnight.
I’ve seen this genius trick before:
To save a tweet with Readwise, you tag @readwise in the comments.
Every save becomes a tiny public ad. Search @readwise on X right now and you’ll see dozens of posts from the last hour alone.
Both companies took an action users already want to do (verify an account, save a post) and made it public.
My take: This is one of the smartest growth loops I’ve seen in a while. To steal this tactic, you must give users a real reason to post publicly:
❌ If it feels like a “tag us to enter” gimmick → people will ignore.
✅ But if the public post IS the product mechanic (verifying, saving, unlocking) → users will do it happily because they’re getting something real out of it.
What’s your version of this?

You probably didn’t buy an ad spot for the upcoming Super Bowl - and that’s cool.
Because I’m going to show you a proven way to generate buzz without it.
The idea is simple:
